Robert L. Beal established Beal Associates after a twenty year career on the management team of one of Wisconsin's leading manufacturing companies and nineteen years as a career management consultant and in executive and board of directors search. A 1958 graduate of the University of Virginia, he served four years as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy prior to joining the Heil Company in Milwaukee in 1964. During his career at Heil he lived in Brussels for four years where he directed European operations and a wholly owned manufacturing subsidiary in Scotland. He returned to the U.S. to become the senior corporate officer responsible for the company's international operations. In 1984 he joined Jannotta, Bray & Associates as Managing Director of the Milwaukee office. Under his guidance, as Jannotta, Bray, Beal & Associates the firm became the leading career managment consulting firm in Wisconsin while assisting hundreds of senior executives and client organizations in all areas of career transition, executive assessment, and organizational change. For three years starting in 1995 he was involved in executive search with his own firm and then joined Sullivan Associates and ultimately Beal Associates where he has conducted numerous board of director searches for many companies throughout the United States.
