Members of the Historic Building Inspectors Association: Have met specific experience requirements and have demonstrated excellence in evaluating and reporting on structural and mechanical conditions observed in historic buildings. Have an understanding of historic preservation standards.Encourage historic home buyers & owners to preserve the character of historic properties. Donate their time and knowledge to non-profit historic preservation projects. The HBIA is also a collective resource for it's members to increase their knowledge of historic building preservation and improve inspection skills.
